HUB 1, the first facility established by Biohubx is the result of a partnership with Edmonton-based DynaLIFE Medical Laboratories. The facility provides the tools and infrastructure to transition life science and health tech discoveries from bench to marketplace.
The 9,100 square-foot facility in northwest Calgary leases affordable, accredited, move-in ready clinical laboratory facilities and offices for early-stage companies in the life science sector.
Tenant companies benefit from existing facility procedures and documentation to expedite their own Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSA) or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification processes, significantly decreasing the time, money and resources involved in accreditation. Biohubx can provide hands-on consulting and support for companies pursuing CPSA or ISO certifications.
Tenants will also benefit from access to critical lab equipment and infrastructure and access on-site, and the availability of trained HUB 1 personnel.
Biohubx has advanced plans for HUB 1 and beyond as it looks to expand into other key areas of the life science ecosystem.
